Abbey Road is the eleventh studio album by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 26 September 1969 by Apple Records. The recording sessions were the last in which all four Beatles participated. The album was recorded in a more collaborative manner than their recent albums, with the members more cooperative with each other and producer George Martin. It features the two-sided hit single 'Something'/'Come Together', and includes the famous medley of songs on its second side. The album's cover, featuring the four band members walking across a zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios, has become one of the most famous and imitated album covers in popular music. Abbey Road is widely regarded as one of the Beatles' best and most influential albums. The album incorporates genres such as blues, rock and pop, and makes prominent use of the Moog synthesizer, sounds filtered through a Leslie speaker, and tom-tom drums. It is the Beatles' best-selling album worldwide.
